Little Bit About Me

My photo
First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.

27w Bump Update

Left I am 15w6d, Right I am 28 weeks.
This picture helped me realize how much my stomach had truly grown.
And then after changing out of clothes into PJs..
looking at my bare belly button...
I realized it is getting quite shallow.
This girl's turkey timer might eventually pop like people joke about!
So there you have it, look at my belly! I really have been struggling with just feeling F-A-T lately. Especially as the scale creeps up, and I just feel blah about my jiggly bits. I am 4 lbs away from gaining back the entire 17lbs I lost when I began my weigh loss journey. Oiy, so hard to see it keep going up! I shouldn't beat myself up over gaining 13 lbs when I am 28 weeks, but still...I have 12 weeks to go still!!

I drank a small caramel frappe from McDonald's today (yum!), and little man really enjoyed it. Soon after he started doing jumping jacks, or break dancing (who knows what goes on in there!!). It was awesome, except unfortunately for me I had to pee, and he kept bouncing on my bladder. So that meant no drive through at the bank, I had to go in because I had to go SO badly!

Nothing else really new on the baby front, there is still 18 days until my next doctor's appointment. I kind of feel like it is the calm before the storm and I need to get as much done around the house as soon as possible.

The nursery still sits untouched, but I am hoping to change that soon. Like Sunday or Monday. I hope to have it finished (or most of the way). For finishing before the crib this is what I have to do still:

  • Finish painting the yellow and green....maybe one coat more each, and the edges by the ceiling
  • Paint a fresh coat of white on the ceiling
  • Paint the closet a very light blue (after deep cleaning it!)
  • Buy the chair rail, stain it if needed, and get it cut
  • Put the chair rail up
  • Vacuum floor
  • Clean the Carpet
Then we can go pick up the crib and set it up in the room!! And I will feel much more at ease!

Ok, nap time for this momma to be, work tonight!

Money...bah humbug!

I SO SO SO HATE being stressed about money. Usually it isn't this bad, but I think with bringing home a baby before the end of the year...it adds to my insanity. I have done a budget through December.

And money is going to be a little tight when I am off from work, but doable, even if it seems impossible.

I am getting a refund check from school, I took out loans so we could feel more prepared for this winter with the baby. I finally totaled up how much we need to pay on medical bills though...holy toots! 800 in medical bills, without an additional 500-700 at the dentist. Much more than anticipated, and soon to add more with labor and delivery. Ahhhh!!

We also need to get our pellet stove hooked up to our furnace, ASAP. And we are completely in the dark about how much this is going to cost. Plus we need to purchase a couple tons of pellets to start out the winter (and maybe an electric heater to supplement heat until it is cool enough to start up the furnace).

(Note...increased heart rate, and headache forming...lol)

On a high note, something to pray about, is there have been talks of a promotion and pay increase for James. I do not think it is going to be as substantial as the initially thought. Because they are now talking not bumping him up to manager, but up to supervisor first instead (which is okay with us). The boss is doing research right now to see how much a comparable pay rate would be for that position compared to other feed mills of the same size in our area.

Praying for this raise to happen before the end of October so we can have a full month of extra savings and money to do things we need and want to do around the home. For example purchasing the changing table/dresser and the glider we want (which will equal like $800). And those gorgeous decals I want for the nursery (another 150-200).

Life is good other than that, and the fact that I failed both of my exams yesterday due to lack of prep.

On a high note, James and I are going away together this weekend. First time since last September. We are just going to the Detroit area. We are going to hit up an outlet mall, possibly make a quick stop at Ikea, and go to Cabelas. And most importantly: RELAX! ALONE! TOGETHER! Without a schedule!

Money will work itself out, it always does.

Pregnancy Craziness

I have decided pregnancy makes me crazy and lazy.

I am taking 10 credits this semester, Stats, Micro, and Health Psych.

I am puting minimum (or below minimum) effort into all of them.
My house is a disaster.
And working 7 days a pay period wears the crap out of me.

Crazy? I have been an anxious mess.

Like no joke, I have wrinkles in my forehead forming. The ones when you raise your eyebrows or think/worry aout things.

And I cry. A lot lately it seems.

I have an exam in two classes today and feeling quite stressed, but it is my fault for giving into sleep and DVR'd TV shows.

I am stressed a bit about money as winter comes as well.
Money is always a stressor for us, it seems there is never enough.
And since we have quit tithing money has gotten tighter...so I need to get back to tithing.

Bad christian, right here...me.
I have just now started trying to remember to pray for other things than just this pregnancy and our son.
I have just recently tried to start remembering to ready my Bible every day (or almost every day). Even if only for 5 minutes.

Some how fear creaps in though. And it is unceasing.

We are talking more than money.
The safety of our child.
What if he is born with some mental or physical defect?
Are we established enough to be parents?
James said he feels like he wants people praying during delivery, like it needs to be done......why? Is something going to go wrong?

To top it off I am just feeling down about myself,
Feeling like I am a bad housewife (house is a mess)
A bad student (homework is SO far behind)
And feeling lazy, fat, and just blah.

To top it off little guy has gotten lazier in the mornings, thinking his sleep pattern is changing, but it makes me nervous too.

And to top it off twice in past two weeks I have felt dizzy, hot/clammy, and felt like I could pass out. The last time I even saw right white floaters. It isnt fun.

Doctors say to keep up the fluids, make sure to eat protein with every meal/snack, and to keep an eye on my blood pressure.

It has been on the low side lately. Especially for me. So basically not sure what causes it, could be dehydration, low blood sugar, or low blood pressure. So covering all bases.

One more thing before I go, as you might remember I have had residents at work tak to me about my babies. Well Sunday night one of those residents asked me if I had my babies with me, because they are so cute. I told her I only knew that the one in my tummy was with me. She smiled when my coworker told her our baby's name (calling it official, Matthew Isaac). And then reiterated to me how cute the babies are.

I held back tears. And my coworker said, she's going to be a great mom. And the resident agreed.

To let you know, I really needed this I think. this resident though is one that can be mean as h*ll. Scratching, hitting, kicking, and trying to bite. But that night she was calm and oriented to our conversation. She was all smiles, and was a lovely lady.

And then my dizzy attack hit. Last time it hit I was in church. So I think there is a spiritual part of it as well.

And as much as what resident said to me helped, it made me worry as well, see the worry wart-ness is getting worse..., about what if matthew wasnt okay, he had been quiet.

Then after attack he kicked, like I am here mom.

I wish he would get back to wiggling more again.

And now off to class I go, wish me luck. And say a prayer, heaven knows I need it.

With the little guy wearing a Santa hat!

There are more but blogger is making me mad and making me struggle with where the pictures go and having to try moving them, so I give up for now!

There are so many cute newborn ones though, like baby in baseball mitt, or in back of tonka truck.
In Christmas gift boxes, simple with white lights in back ground, laying on top of books, maybe with some cute little geeky glasses!
Love spelled with a V for the baby's feet.
Wedding rings on the baby's tiny little toes.
Our hands on top of each others (Daddy's, Mommy's then baby's).
Naked with just a little tie!

So many pictures to choose from. Really hope that ours turn out well!

One more random thought....I purchased this applique to iron on to a black shirt for halloween.
I am SUPER excited!!

I got it for 14 including shipping, so all I need to do now is find a black maternity shirt I want it to go on! :-)
I am hoping to hit up Hobby Lobby possibly with a 50% off coupon!

27 weeks! (and 26w bump update!)

Holy Guacamole! Can you believe it? I have made it to 27 weeks. Things have been crazy busy and I am sure they are not going to slow down any time soon. I have so many hopes of what to accomplish on my "To Do" list that it is insane I am sure. Especially with it getting to be harvest and James' crazy  crazier schedule starting soon. Last week he worked 52 hours, plus helped his Dad on the chimney Saturday, and then we had his work dinner, and game night at a friend's house.

He is pooped, pretty much all the time right now. And now harvest is starting, which means working Saturdays, as well as possibly longer days. The money is good, but he is exhausted at the moment and getting quite burnt out. Especially since we didn't have a vacation for our anniversary this year, next year this WILL happen. I think time alone together is super important, especially with a little one on the way!

On another note, I got some AMAZING news this week. Background history first, I baby sat for a family starting my junior year in high school, it was 4 kids (with the oldest going to her dad's every other weekend) every Saturday from 6am-8pm. Eventually it switched to Saturday and Sunday, and dwindled down to watching the three, and then I believe for awhile it was every other weekend when the oldest was old enough to watch all three younger kids. I was their weekend mom basically, we ran errands together, we had PJ days, I took them to sporting events, dropped off and picked up for sleep overs. And I loved it. (They are all so big now in middle school, high school, and the oldest is in her first year of college). I spent five years of my life, when others were out going to the movies, partying, and such on the weekends watching children grow up into amazing little people. It made me stick with my guns, James and I still want to eventually, one way or another, have four children to call our own.

Anyways, the mom that I used to babysit for, she texted me last Sunday (16th) letting me know she wanted to buy the crib for us. I replied, "We are registered at BabysRUs...the one we are registered for is kind of expensive, but very solid. We are also registered at Target if you change your mind on the crib and want to look! :-)" Meaning to give her a way out because, it isn't a cheap crib. It is $299.99 and that is without any of the conversion rails (you have to special order them directly from the company for 59.99 each)

Her response to me? "That is good...you will need a solid one for all those babies that will use it"

Well, Tuesday (18th) I got a text that said she bought the crib!! I also checked out the registry to make sure I had registered for a mattress, and that was purchased as well! Talk about tears, especially when I learned that James' side had been planning on going in on the crib together. We are so incredibly blessed!

So soon, within the next few weeks, this beautiful thing will be set up in OUR baby's room!

Summer Infant - Brayden
We plan on purchasing these items as well...

Summer Infant - BraydenChanging Table/Dresser

Art Van's Kendall Glider & Ottoman
It says it comes in Espresso as well,
so I am hoping that it matches the dark wood wonderfully,
else we will end up looking again.
My goal is to have the nursery completed fully by the end of October! Pending all the above in the room I also want to hand make some shelving like the cube storage that closet maid makes....sturdy enough an adult could sit on it, sturdy enough a little kid couldn't tip it over!

Before I go to bed, I will leave you with some bump photos.....
Not super happy with weight gain,
have gave in to WAY too many cravings.
Definitely need to get better at this...
It is simply amazing to see my belly grow! Especially over that one week span at the end.
I definitely had a growth spurt, explains why I have been feeling like Santa lately...
like my belly is just a huge bowl full of jelly that jiggles and jiggles.
(Ok so I had a really bad feeling fat week....especially after Dr office tried telling me I gained SIX pounds in one week...)

In this shirt I got asked if I only had a month in a half left.
And then got told I was showing more than my Aunt ever did...
As much as I like it, it might be avoided being worn in public....
It has to be the darn stripes! I thought it wouldn't matter in pregnancy,
BUT I was wrong...

I love this picture!!
I have been nervous about getting maternity pictures done in October ,
but this shirt gives me hope that I will be big enough to look pregnant and not just fat
(Yes, I still have a conscious fear of such things, I am a fat girl at heart...)
But if I shoot for towards the end of October, I should be fine.
And then if I make it full term I plan on getting a few more shots done.
I do have a serious request for you all, as you may remember Toni from Who is this "Fertile Myrtle?" did get her BFP with her second round of IVF. Sadly, this pregnancy has ended in an ectopic pregnancy. Causing her so much heart break, pain, and she could really use being in all of our thoughts and prayers. My heart goes out so much to her and her family. A loss is bad enough, but to have to had paid to get pregnant to experience a loss is that much more unfair and leaves me unable to wrap my mind around.

Thanks ladies, hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

26w Bump & Ultrasound Update

I have been so incredibly busy lately, so here are last week's bump pictures....

And then my doctor's appointment....

We always start with the ultrasound, which was about 20 minutes behind. They started over my belly and worked on getting measurements. He was definitely showing off his profile and after not wanting to let us see it for several weeks, now he didn't want to turn his head! We could see his little eyes blinking, and we both swear he was smiling in one of the ultrasound pictures! At one point he even put his pointer finger up to his lips like, "Shhhhhh! I'm trying to sleep!" The tech tried so hard to get the head measurement over my belly, but he was enjoying having his head in my pelvis too much! We even tried rocking from side to side!

The doctors office scale with jeans and tennis shoes (both a first for me, it is getting chillier out, and flip flops are out of the question because they caused a near death experience *ok melodramatic...but I did trip up some steps!*) was NOT nice to me, but they didn't say anything about it. If it were right that would mean I have gained like 6 pounds in 2 weeks, and my scale has NOT been saying that. Maybe 4lbs on really bloated day, haven't been able to go #2 day.

Anyways, he is getting so stinking big and it truly is amazing! They moved on to amniotic fluid level check, and that was perfect they said. Next up was cervical length check, and getting our stubborn little guy's measurement of his head. Cervix measured 4.6cm, and after getting his head measurement she told me how much our little guy weighs. 2lbs 5oz!! He gained 1lb 1oz in 12 days! I could be in for a bigger baby if my body cooperates.

We then waited close to 40 minutes for the doctor (Note to self: always ALWAYS schedule morning appointment....). James was getting antsy and anxious about getting to work on time. This is where we met another lovely doctor. Very pleasant, personable, but VERY VERY soft spoken. He had a great smile and enjoyed asking us about how we found out the gender, and if we were thinking any names yet. He showed me the growth charts that babies can follow and where our son has fit on this scale. Last u/s he was in the 55th percentile, this week he is in the 61st percentile! He said he isn't too worried about the baby's growth at this point. But due to having controlled hypertension they will watch growth because the placenta at 32 weeks can start to do crazy stuff he said. They are checking fluid due to uterus shape. He said at 32 weeks if something was going haywire they would be able to intervene and deliver a fairly healthy baby.

I am so happy that I only do not like one doctor! I need to meet 2 or 3 more of the doctors still. In four weeks (I was so glad he didn't have me wait 5 to do growth at same time NSTs start) I meet one of them. Then I start the weekly NST and amniotic fluid checks, so I will definitely be able to meet these other doctors.

So the moment you have been waiting for: our son's cute little ultrasound pictures!

P.S. Baby has consistently measured ahead of first u/s
so technically his due date is 12/17 now instead of 12/19,
but I am keeping the dates the same for my bump pictures.
So what I am saying is, today I am 26w5d if going by EDD of 19th
so TOMORROW is picture day!

Bad Blogger

Sorry I have been a terrible blogger lately. Life has been busy, busy, busy! School, and family stuff...and washing baby clothes.

That's right. ME washing baby clothes, for our son to wear! The totes are out and I am sorting through the clothes given to me from friends. I have tossed out the stained ones and sorted out the ones he wont be able to wear (like 0-3m body suits w/shorts) and also made a pile to bring over to my aunt who had her son about a month ago.

My husband says to me, "Geeze, he's not even here yet and already the house has baby clothes all over!" =)

I didnt update last week's bump picture either, so I will do that later today after my appointment, a nap, and forcefully making myself do some homework. I am slacking on homework terribly. I start to do it and then get SO tired. So I give up. Lol I can catch up, but it is going to mean a long day of statistics tomorrow and reading for my other classes.

Today is my last appointment that they will check cervical length. I will am just about 27 weeks. The next appt will be at 32. Crazy to go that long in between appointments when I have been monitored so closely this second trimester. Anyways, this appointment we discuss the results from my GD screening (I got the results online and I think I passed, with like an 85 or so!), CBC, and they are going to check on little guy's growth. I am going to try to remember to ask how long he is too if I can remember as well. I am hoping they will check amniotic fluid level again as well to help my anxiety...

Little guy seems to not move as much as he was. And it makes me SO stinking nervous. I am hoping seeing him will helpt to calm my anxious heart (I have been praying about not worrying and giving it to God, but I am a worry wart for this little guy...). Fears of loss this late really make me tear up some days. I pray against cord accidents on a daily basis and ask God to protect him and keep him healthy and strong.

Yet, the less movement...makes me SO nervous. Even though there are days where he is break dancing in my belly. I know it is probably due to his positioning and my lovely anterior placenta....but still. He does give a few kicks to let me know he is okay when I start to worry usually, but those days it isnt the 10/hr most ask for.

I have now been having more symptoms...dizziness & hot flashes (thinking it is low BP at times...) and then aches & pains in lower back as well. Little guy has also been discovering areas like never before. I am sure I mentioned him stretching on the left side of my uterus - OUCH! - but he has also discovered he can stretch more to my right, like up close to ribs. I am not kidding I felt a leg, and a foot. And sometimes he really is a pain in the butt, lol ok not pain...but more like a spasm, because he must kick a nerve and it makes my butt twitch!

Between feeling off w/the dizziness & hot flashes, mid to lower back ache, and just feeling off in general...the thought of pre-term labor flashes to my mind. Quite often. But I am still believing and hoping (desperately) he will hold on until the beginning of December. Even more wonderfully would be James' birthday, December 9th.

OH! And then baby showers, it is crazy to think in Oct I will be having THREE baby showers. One for work, one with friends, and one for family. And the blessings have already began, the family that I babysat for 5+ years has offered to purchase the crib for us! I warned her by saying something like, "It is expensive, but very sturdy. It is at BabysRUs, we are also registered at Target if you wanted to look at the registry before deciding." Her response? Something along the lines of, "That's fine. Sturdy is good, you'll need to be able to use it for all those babies!" She is holding out great hope for us :-) And if she buys the crib it will be a HUGE blessing.

When I update later today I will share some of my deals I got at a mom to mom sale as well as last week's bump update, ultrasound pic of our son, and any other random factoid I can think of! :-)

Whew! That was long, sorry!

Cramps and Acid Reflux

So first of all I am feeling better emotionally. More refreshed, after some sleep, time with James, and today a couple of friends came and visited me.

Cramps. Sunday night little man decided that he was going to be fascinated with the left side of my uterus. Seeing as I have only have half a uterus that go to the right, this is problematic...for ME. Ouch. No joke. Like bad bad period cramps. It would come and go, assuming with his kicks, but I couldn't tell because it was like a dull cramp and it would get more intense with his wiggles. I called the OB because I started getting nervous.

Laid down, drank more water...it cut down to 3 cramps in an hour. Laid on right side and little man slithered out of the uncomfortable spot. (Thank freaking goodness!) Magically, cramping is gone, and so are my worries. Let me reiterate, it HURT. Like cramps from my miscarriage at most intense time. I even went to bathroom to make sure I wasn't spotting or anything crazy.

Then there is the acid reflux....this lady needs to not eat like two hours before bed else I wake up with the magnificently delicious DISGUSTING taste of...vomit in my throat causing me to gag/cough. Nasty. And not fun. And it disrupts my sleep. I have been having more heartburn lately as well. Might have to start taking something before bed so it doesn't wake me up, because sometimes eating has to happen that close to bed. And sometimes I am just hungry and need (or want, your choice of wording ;-P) to eat!!

I am pooped and tomorrow is class. I haven't done any homework either, but I did manage to fold 2 totes full of clothing. Like half way done. Too bad I didn't put them away as well...lol

Maybe I will actually sleep well tonight, but the bummer is my hubby will not be home until after 1. Poor guy has been working lots of hours. He is getting pretty burnt out :-(

Feeling a Bit Better...Ish.

This may sound crazy, but I do think this weekend's emotions were put on quite a bit by hormonal pregnancy loveliness, but I also think it was a bit of an attack on us. James pointed this out when he was telling me how refreshing and GOOD it felt to have fellowship with other men of God. He said once he got there he could tell the attacks on him trying to not get him to go (like us not seeing each other too much since last Monday). I reminded him it surely didn't help me this weekend at all. Or the fact that I hadn't heard his voice since Friday. Or know that he had good service....He said he didn't call because he didn't want to wake me up. Well as little as I slept, I probably would have been up!!

It also helps that he didn't use all the money that he took with him ;-) LOL And the fact that he brought home pizza (that I had been craving since the weekend). He also had many stories to tell me, and it felt wonderful to sit face to face to someone and talk, even better over pizza! Even better that he want to try feeling little man move (even if he was being stubborn and wouldn't!).

Then last night came, I called into work due to a massive headache, which I am sure was from lack of sleep. Not from lack of trying. I think the third trimester effects that many warn you about (lack of sleep, inability to get comfortable, pain when little big baby moves, acid reflux) may be here a bit early. I have been struggling to get comfortable, when I am comfortable, little man isn't. It takes forever to fall asleep, and then I wake up because I have to pee, or baby thinks it is play time, or acid reflux makes me wake up gagging/coughing due to the wonderful taste of vomit in my throat. That has been my weekend. And my last night.

Insert Zombie-like face.

I am feeling a bit LOT better today compared to this weekend.

Little guy's movements have gotten stronger. I swear sometimes it feels like he is kicking me in my butt with how hard his kicks feel (it makes my muscle twitch sometimes!). And when he decides to stretch on my left side, feel the pain baby! I can tell there isn't as much room on left as there is right, and boy does it hurt.

Today's plan is to do laundry, catch up on homework I planned on doing this weekend, and go pick up some tomatoes to boil and put in freezer bags for use in chili & such this winter. I have never canned, and it is easier to just freeze them for us.

Eating hasn't been this best all weekend (and it hasn't been today either...). And I have a feeling the scale is going to show it. I truly am an emotional eater, and my appetite in general has been higher. Thank goodness God had me craving fruits last night instead of things not so good for me! (YUM to apples and grapes, I even wanted canned peaches but we are out) I weighed 199 Saturday after nap. Currently: 202. Oiy. Water weight I am sure is a bit of it. I need to get this under control!

Ok I need a big glass of water and to think about starting a load of laundry so I am out of here.

But before I go I wanted to leave a couple shout outs....

Toni at "Who is this Fertile Myrtile" is waiting to do her 3rd beta tomorrow! This is after many IUIs, one failed IVF, and too many cycles ttc her second little one. This is her second IVF, and all of your continued prayers and positive thoughts are appreciated!

Robin at I'm polycystic inside had her twins this weekend!! She was 34 weeks and says Banana and Apple are doing well! Positive thoughts and prayers :-) I cannot wait to see her little ones faces! :-)

Wowza....hormonal much?

To e honest. This has been a long week. From oversleeping and missing class Tuesday, to running out of gas Thursday. To hell night at work Friday (seriously we sat down for 1 hour total the whole night, and worked through first break...my back was killing me, I was exhausted, basically it was not pretty).

Friday was also the day my hubby went to man camp. I realy wasnt too concerned about it. Time apart doesnt usually get to me too badlly. But this time? Oh my word. Pregnancy doesnt fair well with him being away.

Friday my thoughts turned to the what ifs.....what if he is two-three hours away and I go into early labor and I cannot get ahold of him? What if something happens to him? I even made sure to make him pack his rescue inhaler that he hasnt needed to use in YEARS. Just. In. Case.

I hadnt saw him that much since Monday night. So it had been a long work week for him, and a long day of lacking time together for me.

And I keep thinking about how we only have a few more months with it just being us and I dont want to miss out on those moments. I want to enjoy each other being just us before the baby comes. It seriously brings tears to my eyes that we didnt go on a vacation together this summer or for our anniversary. We havent had a weekend where neither has something to do, neither works, no family or friends to visit....in ages.

And it is wearing on me. Big time.

Then I started thinking about how, while I agree with all man camp for the church is about....I also dont think it is fair. When have I went away ALL weekend bringing with me 200 to spend on things and have fun with the girls? Especially since he had a guys night like within the last month. I always turn things down because I'd rather spend money on doing something with James and I. As a couple. Together. He even took Friday off from work to go to man camp. And it just stung a bit...because it is going to be unpaid, and he didnt even spend the day with me...*sigh*

Bring on the water works that felt rational and irrational at the same time. I felt SO alone yesterday. I feel drifted away from most...ok all this week because best friend's phone was dead and I didnt even tak to her until last night for a quick moment....friends. My sisters are back to school so it's not like I can go pick S up for her to spend time with me. My husband was gone. All I had was our dog and cat. And they kept waking me or the baby up from sleep. Which made me even more tired and emotional.

Seriously crying. Again. I am a mess. I am supposed to work again tonight but I have slept like crap since James has been gone, and with him coming home today in spite of me wanting to save up vacation time...I may have to call in.

I havent even heard his voice since Friday afternoon. And gotten very few texts from him. I am feeling ridiculously needy and it makes me feel so weak and stupid. I love my husband and I miss him, desperately.

We need a weekend away together. Without friends. Without family. Time to just be us. A couple. Husband and wife. Before we add Mom and Dad to our titles. We honestly need more than a weekend, but school, work, and lack of vacation time will not allow for such a thing.

I cannot wait to be done with school and have the extra money to vacation more often. Because this woman needs it to destress, to remember who I truly am, and just reconnect with my husband.

I am just feeling burnt out and run down. And the stupid hormones arent helping one damn bit....

A little fyi...

Dont trust your cars little miles left on your gas.

I ran out this morning, trying to get to class on time.

That's right, couldnt fall asleep until 2, woke up at 6, and then at 7, then at 830. Left late so I didnt want to stop and get gas. So I could be on time.

Fail. BIG fail. I ran out as I was pulling out of one parking lot to look in another. Thankfully was abble to roll to a safe spot.

And now my Mom is coming to save me with gas.

Have I mentioned this blows?

Because it does.

The fates are against me getting to this class on time, I slept through alarm on Tuesday waking up too late to go to class, and now today I am missing again. That means a week worth of notes I do not have.

Bump Update, Ultrasound Visit, and More!

Bump Update!

First of all, can you believe it? I am 25 weeks now!! So AMAZING. I am overjoyed and over the moon the happy with all the blessings God has poured out on us with this little man!

Ultrasound Visit!

We got in rather quickly, and it was like he KNEW they were going to try getting his picture again, he pushed his butt right out at the lady! lol He is still head down but more towards my left hip bone instead of in my pelvis! I hope this is a good thing and he doesn't choose to lay transverse instead of head down eventually. He is still definitely a he, I recognized boy parts before she said anything! His Heartbeat was 150, amniotic fluid level was perfect they said, and my cervix was still an amazing 4.7cm. My doctor today said that I was showing off, because it only needs to be 2.5cm to make them happy at this point. I am glad it is still long and strong because I have a feeling it will shorten quickly when it is time due to the weight of the baby and such (that and I have been praying for it to thin when it is supposed to without any medical intervention! And my prayers for cervix of steel have worked, so why won't this ;-D)

They finally got a profile picture of this little guy. Placenta has now moved more over to my right but still half front/half side. Which would be why I have been feeling more kicks on top of belly! When he really gets moving he is punching (or drumming as some would say) above my left pelvis bone, and kicking upper middle belly. Truly amazing! He is getting so BIG!! And I still have 15 weeks to go!

More!

This weekend...
Was AMAZING time with James's family. I got to spend all weekend with my three nieces, my sister in law and James's brother. His sister and brother in law came down Saturday, and it was nice to hang out late into the night Saturday with them as well. I enjoyed lots of snuggles with all three girls, and had so many funny moments that of course I HAVE to share a couple.

A is 5, one day she was sitting on my lap when she said to me, "Aunt Jess, you can have L (their newest little addition, she is 3months old). And I will take that one (pointing to my tummy)." I roared laughing. And told her mom, her mom is like, "A, you don't want a Brother do you? Mommy doesn't know how to do little boys, and L is too good of a baby, I don't want to trade!" lol It was TOO stinking cute!

Then Saturday night when we were hanging out, I suddenly got SO hungry. The kids were in bed and it was the adults hanging out. I said, "I could go for a hot dog!" My sister-in-law says, "There are some in the fridge if you want one." Her husband pipes in, "Don't you know that's what got you in this predicament!?" hahaha, yes I am WELL aware. but it really got me laughing.

Sunday my dear hubby was a little hung over (he drank to his little hearts content Saturday night, and was quite a sight to see with his goofy smiles with big ol' dimples, and drunken talk...but now he said that isn't going to happen for awhile! lol). But he noticed his sister-in-law trying to make lunch for the older girls while holding onto the youngest. If you know my husband at all, he is terrified to hold little babies, he says it is different if it is his own, because if he breaks it it is his to break. LOL Gotta love him. But he OFFERED to take little L! On his own terms (AMAZING!). His brother, said to him (and I on a couple different occasions) "You do know, yours is going to be different, it is going to have a penis." haha yes, we are fully aware! Gotta love Booger! Anyways, so James is holding onto her outside and brings L inside to SIL and says, "Is that how you do it?" And she was snoozing snuggled up in his arms. She said he was SO proud of himself! (And it truly melted my heart!) But Booger pipes in, "Ya know, it isn't that easy when it's your own!" :-) My husband is going to be an amazing father!

SIL is breast feeding and she isn't ashamed of it! I love it. Others, especially the men are like, "I don't know if I am supposed to be seeing that..." It's a BOOB. Get over it. She is feeding her daughter, it is hot and little L doesn't want the blanket over her. Whoop-di-doo. She even does it in public without much of a cover, just finds a place where it isn't too busy and does what she needs to do. She is my hero! She only pumps for when she is going to be at work.

James's sister's hubby (you following that?) also said to me once, something about I don't want that it might have pregnancy cooties on it. I said, "believe me...I know pregnancy ISN'T contagious!" He laughed, Looked down at his round belly and said, "...I don't know about that one..." That made me giggle. Ok it isn't contagious, I know, but with his belly puffed out you'd think it was ;-)

Work...
There is a baby boom of 2012 happening again! There are four women, excluding myself, that have struggled with infertility and loss. One is due this month (in a week!). The other three had babies all around each other last year, and none of their little kiddos are 1 yet! WELL all of them are pregnant with the second little ones! None expected it to happen this fast, all were ttc for 2+ years for the first (one for 7 years! And even did 2 rounds of IVF, and several IUIs all resulting in BFNs or losses...she lost about 20lbs right before getting pregnant with her first). One is about 10 weeks behind me, and the other two are due in April 2013. CRAZY!

And then there is a blogger that got her surprise BFP after having twins w/IVF. And Toni that had her 2nd round of IVF and got a good beta in spite of her losing a little hope there at the end of her testing ;-) !

Keep all of these ladies in your prayers for them to continue on to have healthy pregnancies!

WELL I need to do some homework so I have to go...statistics, microbiology, and health psych are all calling my name (though a nap called harder earlier so I gave in to it!). I also need to fold a massive pile (ok table) of laundry, and clean our bedroom.
