I SO SO SO HATE being stressed about money. Usually it isn't this bad, but I think with bringing home a baby before the end of the year...it adds to my insanity. I have done a budget through December.
And money is going to be a little tight when I am off from work, but doable, even if it seems impossible.
I am getting a refund check from school, I took out loans so we could feel more prepared for this winter with the baby. I finally totaled up how much we need to pay on medical bills though...holy toots! 800 in medical bills, without an additional 500-700 at the dentist. Much more than anticipated, and soon to add more with labor and delivery. Ahhhh!!
We also need to get our pellet stove hooked up to our furnace, ASAP. And we are completely in the dark about how much this is going to cost. Plus we need to purchase a couple tons of pellets to start out the winter (and maybe an electric heater to supplement heat until it is cool enough to start up the furnace).
(Note...increased heart rate, and headache forming...lol)
On a high note, something to pray about, is there have been talks of a promotion and pay increase for James. I do not think it is going to be as substantial as the initially thought. Because they are now talking not bumping him up to manager, but up to supervisor first instead (which is okay with us). The boss is doing research right now to see how much a comparable pay rate would be for that position compared to other feed mills of the same size in our area.
Praying for this raise to happen before the end of October so we can have a full month of extra savings and money to do things we need and want to do around the home. For example purchasing the changing table/dresser and the glider we want (which will equal like $800). And those gorgeous decals I want for the nursery (another 150-200).
Life is good other than that, and the fact that I failed both of my exams yesterday due to lack of prep.
On a high note, James and I are going away together this weekend. First time since last September. We are just going to the Detroit area. We are going to hit up an outlet mall, possibly make a quick stop at Ikea, and go to Cabelas. And most importantly: RELAX! ALONE! TOGETHER! Without a schedule!
Money will work itself out, it always does.
Often things strike my heart and want to come bursting forth. They come spilling out onto the page, or computer screen. With ink filling pages or my fingers flying across the keyboard, my mind going a million miles a minute, and my heart crying out to be heard. Here is where you’ll find those things, my little notes on life.
Little Bit About Me
- Jess
- First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.
CAUTION
All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. And most of all, if you know me in real life you will either choose to stop reading or keep the knowledge of this blog quiet, and privately allow me to know you are reading. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.

I think I held my breath all last week for you, I do not know why but when I hear that someone is in the 27th week of pregnancy I just have a fear they will go into labor. I hope the money thing works out for you, I thought I was broke all the time before we had the kids but now I know what broke really is. lol.
ReplyDeleteThat is an understandable feeling Crystal! I know we are going to feel even MORE broke when the baby comes, but it will be SO worth it. I think mostly it is just stress from not having anything baby really in the house yet. Will feel MUCH better after baby showers and the nursery is finished.
