Little Bit About Me

My photo
First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.

All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. And most of all, if you know me in real life you will either choose to stop reading or keep the knowledge of this blog quiet, and privately allow me to know you are reading. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.

Varicose Vein...

From my groin to my crotch. No joke. OUCH! It hurts!! After the doctor's office sending me this email reply "Yes, it is normal." That's it nothing else. I still waited for a phone call because on call doc said that he thought it should be looked at. I took a nap, and slept through my alarm. Woke up at 1pm and called at 130 when they got off lunch. Was told they couldnt get me in, and talked to nurse. Who told me to ask my husband to look at it.

Yes. She said that. My hubby says, "Isnt that what doctors are for?" So he looks when he gets home, unwillingly on my part. How humbling this is. He didnt see anything on crotch, except crazy swelling but I am sure it is there some where...then he noticed where my leg meets groin there is a lovely blue ropey vein. FML!!

So next week I will be purchasing the lovely lady jock strap along with a bella band or possibly maternity spanx. Because reviews of the V2 though it does give relief from swelling and pain in groin/crotch area, it also gives you a quad butt and extra love handles, and isnt too comfy (cuts into your butt and belly at times..) I hear. Joy. $70 bucks. Which might be covered by insurance, making it $14 instead.

While I imagine it is going to feel like a midevil torture device on me, I can tel you...it isnt very comfortable with a swollen crotch either!!

I am in disbelief that this has to happen to me too. I feel emotional about it and cry and think, really God...why? Am I that funny to watch endure such things? Am I your comedy show up there?

Then little man kicks, and though it doesn't make me forget I have an achey crotch it does remind me how incredibly blessed I am. His kicks are getting more frequent. And it is quite lovely to feel. They make me laugh. :-)

Yesterday night the TV was up loud and little man was active as all get out. Probably helped that I had just drank cranberry grape juice. Anyways, we were watching The Lovely Bones. And my sister and husband refused to come sit by me and watch the movie with their hand on my belly to be able to feel the kicks. I told them I am not offering the opportunity to them any more. Seriously, he was having his own dance party in there!! And they were too lazy to move next to me. I promise varicose vein in your genitals isn't contagious by touching my belly! :-)

But they truly missed out. Because he was putting on one heck of a show! He is worth a disgusting swollen labia. And bruised belly from daily shots. And the pain it took to get here. Grow baby grow! But please be nice to momma from here on out...

(17w5d max then little man will be forced to meet the world. All I ask is that he stay put til at least 36 weeks...so I will feel fine with him choosing to vacate early)

  1. I was going to say it could be a varicose vein yesterday when I read you post, but my little man distracted me and I left my computer for the day :) My sister who is due with her own rainbow baby in early November, has the exact same problem, but she has TWO varicose veins!! She is absolutely miserable but like you it's hard to stay miserable for long when you realize why you're going through all this!!! Hang in there Jess!!

  2. Ahhh!!! That sounds awful! :( :(

I hate when I'm experiencing something painful or really uncomfortable and the only response is "yep, that's normal." THANKS A LOT YOU ARE SO HELPFUL. But unfortunately being pregnant is not comfortable and there's not much to do about it. :(
