Little Bit About Me

My photo
First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.

All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.

Early Delivery?

Well that doctor's appointment didnt go as I wanted it to. I am currently 32w1d. And my blood pressure is creeping up. 134/94 today. Not good.

Doctor said if I was 36 weeks today he would have delivered the baby.

That was a shocker. I am so NOT ready!!!

Anyways, game plan for now is monitored BP, if it stays the same then 2x a week appointments to check on baby. If it goes up we deliver. If it stays the same delivery will most likely be around 36 weeks.

4 weeks from now.

What?!?

So tomorrow's game plan is to pack the hospital bag because who knows what Monday's appointment could bring...

  1. Jess, I will be praying for you...especially that your blood pressure goes back down.
Just in case, ask the doctor for steroid shots for Matthew's lungs. My son was born at 36 weeks and had to stay in the NICU. I think steroid shots might have helped us avoid that stay.

    Praying so hard. <3

  2. Eeek! I hope you are able to keep that baby in as long as possible! And I second the steroids, although they might not give them to you now that you are past 32 weeks (but who knows, I would ask anyway) - my OB said they give them at 32 weeks for delivery as early as 34 weeks since the shots are effective for two weeks, but after that they don't think it has a big effect.

Sending you good, low blood pressure vibes! And for the hospital bag I recommend some maximum strength ibuprofen - sometimes the nurses aren't great at remembering postpartum pain medication :(

  3. I third the steroid shots they tried pumping me up with them but it didn't really help because I was so early and nothing was slowing down. I will pray your blood pressure goes down. I can not wait to see pictures of your little mister.

  4. I don't know anything about the shots or procedures going on. I just want you to know that I am thinking of you and baby Mathew these next few weeks and a healthy delivery.

  5. WOW! I really hope your blood pressure stabilizes and your little guy gets to keep on baking in there. I remember being told that I would have to deliver a month early too, because they thought my DD might have IUGR. She ended up being one day past my due date. Sending you lots of good vibes!
