Little Bit About Me

My photo
First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.

CAUTION

All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. And most of all, if you know me in real life you will either choose to stop reading or keep the knowledge of this blog quiet, and privately allow me to know you are reading. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.

Food Cravings and Adversions....

These are from the last week alone...most of which I havent had yet, but stilll sound good...

Craving: pumpkin pie (I bought stuff to make it, now lets hope texture doesnt get to me), bbq pulled pork sandwich (specifically like our wedding, roasted pig with two types bbq sauce....um...can you say yum?), general chicken, an egg roll, my friend's mom's home made mac n cheese.

Aversions: scrambled eggs. NASTY. I want it fried with crispy edges and a semi- dippy middle...if I can get myself to eat it. FISH...it is getting SO hard to cook and serve Jackers his tilapia. Chili (unless non bean type on a delicious hot dog, but even hot dogs were not sounding appetizing last night). Yogurt. Almonds.

What I actually have ate lately: BK whopper jr with cheese, and onion rings, slurpees, gummy candy, pizza rolls...dipped in chip dip (no joke, it was deeeelicious), freeze dried apples...YUM. Potatoes.

Basically nothing healthy has wanted to go down without gagging beginning. So for now I give in to what doesnt make me want to hug a toiet or a trash can. And enjoy that bowl of fruity pebbles, strawberry ice cream, and well...you get the picture.

But i still am maintaining, but tummy is feeling SOOOO bloated. I put on a pair of shorts with James sitting there and said, "I'm not sure how much longer I will be able to wear these."
James, looking up, "Are you showing already?!"
"No, it's just bloating, I think."

It was kinda cute the hopeful exclamation from James though. He was sure I had already started gaining weight...so I proved him wrong and weighed myself in front of him. 190.4 take that! :-P I have started writing down my weight so I can show the doctor, so when their scale says 197 again when I go in (I think our scales dont match up at all) and I said my starting weight was 192...I can say see...I am still good. :-)

Anyways, I will post later. My sister graduates tonight and I have lunch planned with another sister. Busy day after working all night....so this girl needs a nap.

<3 Jess

  1. you are like the 10th preggo who is currently craving fruity pebbles! I also craved them myself with Jacob! isn't that so funny? I wonder what's in that cereal that makes it so yummy and desired by pregnant women!! LOL

    1. I bet there is some sort of vitamin or mineral that it is high in. That mixed with the protein in milk, our bodies know what they need! :-)But other than that...they are just SO good. And to be honest...I didn't really like them too much before pregnancy (I thought they left a funny after taste).

  2. Love this post. Did you start outlining your belly on poster board on a wall? It really shows how fast your belly grows.
