So I am ready to stop being so fat. Both to make sure that fat isn't a part of my infertility and for my overall health. I have had to increase my blood pressure medication due to my fatness.
Today is day 1 of renewed determination. I have a handy dandy scale that gives me stats about % body fat, hydration, etc....
So here are my current stats:
Weight: 218 (Goal is 191 lbs...no longer obese)
Body Fat: 45.6% (Should be 16-23% for "Good" health, my goal for now is "Acceptable" 24-30%)
Hydration: 39.7% (Should be 50%)
Muscle: 58 lbs
BMI: 34.2 (My goal is just no longer obese so 29.99)
I should measure myself as well. Maybe next week?
Goals for this week:
Lose at least 1 lb.
Exercise 4 days this week.
Count calories, staying under 1500 max, Goal is 1300.
Drink half of my weight in water (that is 110 oz or almost 14 servings of water) DAILY.
I am quite disheartened with myself for allowing myself to see the scale almost top over to the 220s. That's what this roller-coaster of infertility does to a person that is an emotional eater I suppose. That and I am dehydrated AND I had already eaten breakfast this morning. On another note, the dress I am planning on wearing
for my sister's wedding comes in February 2nd, probably won't see it until the 7th. Definitely won't fit me as I ordered the size I wore in my best friend's wedding. I have to be down to the 192 before the end of May :-) It is definitely do-able. Crazy maybe for ordering a smaller size than I am now, but do-able. The pic is below. It was 30 on an online only deal, so I haven't even tried it on. Crazy? Yup.
Often things strike my heart and want to come bursting forth. They come spilling out onto the page, or computer screen. With ink filling pages or my fingers flying across the keyboard, my mind going a million miles a minute, and my heart crying out to be heard. Here is where you’ll find those things, my little notes on life.
Little Bit About Me
- Jess
- First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.
CAUTION
All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. And most of all, if you know me in real life you will either choose to stop reading or keep the knowledge of this blog quiet, and privately allow me to know you are reading. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.
