Little Bit About Me

My photo
First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.

CAUTION

All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. And most of all, if you know me in real life you will either choose to stop reading or keep the knowledge of this blog quiet, and privately allow me to know you are reading. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.

Doh'

Ok so it hits me...after staring at my lovely charts and thinking about how much I hated those lovely pink candy looking prometrium pills. I've been spotting 6 days now. What can spotting before a period possibly mean? Hit my head moment and frantically google. I was right. Often it can mean low progesterone. Hello more problems. SO now, I have to call my dr and tell her that I've been spotting 6 days before start of period and ask if she thinks I could have a progesterone problem. Which seems highly possible due to the fact that both pregnancies had low progesterone issues. 9.7 when pregnant for first. Normal levels for nonpregnant women at 7dpo can go down to 8.8 at the lowest. I know I was 16 or 17 dpo with first test, but I was only .8 above the standard for a woman that WASN'T pregnant! Hello...issue here? *rolls eyes*

To be honest, I think she said that they don't give women prometrium unless pregnant. But what if I cannot sustain a pregnancy because of low progesterone? I might have to go to a RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist). Oh my goodness. Delirium and google does a woman good sometimes. Hopefully get to the bottom of this soon. I'm ready to have a baby!

Update: by progesterone problem, what I am saying is a Luteal Phase Defect. Caused by 1 of 3 things: poor follicle quality (poor egg production), premature failure of corpus luteum (helps to sustain a pregnancy by giving off gobs of progesterone), and lastly the Uterine lining sometimes doesn't respond. Due to the fact that I have PCOS the chance of the first 2 are quite high for me. This is due to my out of wack FSH hormones. Will update you on what Dr says...
