Little Bit About Me

My photo
First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.

All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. And most of all, if you know me in real life you will either choose to stop reading or keep the knowledge of this blog quiet, and privately allow me to know you are reading. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.

A Good Chuckle...

Oh boy, I was on thebump.com this morning just looking around, when I came upon this topic. You can click here to read through some of the comments to really get a good laugh, but seriously, some women that are given fertility really shouldn't reproduce. I really hope this was a joke, but as comments went on it didn't seem like it...

Hi ladies! I finally got around to making an account I'm so excited to be a part of the bump. I am 8 weeks along on Saturday and my hormones are literally making me want to jump DH all the time. He will not have sex with me ever since finding out I was preggo. He is worried if its a girl that she could get pregnant. I know I've never heard of that happening because she won't even have eggs until I'm in my third trimester at whih point obviously we will stop having sex. Has anyone else's DH been bothered by this? And how far along did your dr say to stop having sex if you're having a girl? Thanks!
That's right. No joke. Copied, word. for word. I'm surprised none of us girls in my family came out pregnant ;-) Oh boy, people are complete idiots. Basic Anatomy. She later says something along the lines of, "I hate that no one is taking me seriously." Bahahaha.

Ok maybe it was just me in my sleep deprived deliriousness that had me laughing this morning.

On another (TMI) note, the libido lift that they talk about in pregnancy, ya know when you want to do it all the time...it has officially hit. Except there is this belly that gets in the way of some (ok most) positions...and then there are the positions where you lay flat on your back, those are supposed to be out as well due to the weight of the baby pressing on blood vessels. I told James I am glad he is working on having his belly disappear since mine will be growing, because otherwise we would have a depressing sex life the rest of this pregnancy, especially because at 18 weeks I am already distracted by my belly. I am quite proud of him, he has lost 24lbs since January. And even more is melting off. I told him I predict he will be well under 300lbs, if he keeps going at this rate, when the baby comes.

The girls at work, the ones that like to tell me I can eat for two (while looking pregnant themselves even though they aren't), that I am eating M&Ms because the baby is hungry (really I wanted them, and COUNTED the calories!!), told me last night that James would probably be one of those that gain weight as I gained weight for this pregnancy. They were shocked when I told him he has actually lost 13lbs already this pregnancy (he fell off the bandwagon for awhile that is why he has only lost 24 lbs since January). Even more shocked when I tell them depending on the day, I am either 1 pound down or 2 pounds up this pregnancy.
18 weeks and max 2 pounds gained, I vote pretty darn awesome.
