Little Bit About Me

My photo
First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.

CAUTION

All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. And most of all, if you know me in real life you will either choose to stop reading or keep the knowledge of this blog quiet, and privately allow me to know you are reading. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.

Tribute to HP

It was my sixth grade Christmas that I opened my first present. This weird looking book named, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Upon learning that my mom had already read the book before giving it to me I was TICKED. And refused to start reading it. But that didn't last long. Before the end of the holiday break I had devoured the first book, and went on to purchase the second and third book.

To my demise, I had to wait for the fourth book. My mom didn't listen to me. Said that we wouldn't have a problem getting the book the morning that it came out. She was wrong. Three different stores, and still nothing. Until I spotted it: a battered book. Cover ripped. But it was mine! And so the battle began over who got to read it first!

My 13th birthday was celebrated by seeing the first Harry Potter movie in the theaters. I was the same age as Harry in the movies =). My 14th birthday celebrated by watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in the theaters.

The summer of 2004 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix came out. I was in love with the world of Harry Potter. And mourned over another loss for Harry. Throughout reading the stories I cried. Laughed. And dreamed of the wizarding world. I remember getting so ANGRY when the third movie fell off track of the books. It ruined my love of the movies for awhile.

But here I am now, 23 years old. 12 years after picking up my first book. And only a few days before HP 7.2 comes out in the theaters. It makes me sad and excited to see the story come to an official end.

The great imagination of J.K. Rowling came alive in the books and on screen. It gripped the hearts of millions, mine included! I cannot wait to share the joy of reading with our children. To have them be able to find the simple joys in reading a book. To help them find symbolism. To help them realize that they can escape in a book.

J.K. Rowling, thank you for the wonderful experiences over the past years. For your determination to get published. Your creative mind. And for sharing the joys of reading to so many children and adults alike.

♥ Jessica
