Little Bit About Me

My photo
First and foremost, I am a Christian woman: I love Jesus! In this blog you will find stories of trying to conceive with PCOS, MTHFR, Poor egg quality, a unicornuate uteterus, and too many babies in heaven. It is a good thing God is the ultimate healer! Here you will find praise! and you may also find venting (I'm not perfect...) and you will find other stories of my crazy life. All the while through this journey I am holding on to scripture & hoping to one day be a mother here on Earth (waiting on God & His perfect timing...why am I so impatient?) But in the meantime, here you will find me: Jessica, loving wife, hopeful heart of a mother, and faithful friend.

CAUTION

All writing in this blog is unedited and 100% from what I am feeling at the time. By continuing to read it means that you will take my vents with a grain of salt. You will choose to not take offense. And most of all, if you know me in real life you will either choose to stop reading or keep the knowledge of this blog quiet, and privately allow me to know you are reading. I only share this information with close friends. I do not share this with facebook for a purpose: it is meant to be semi-private. Not "public" knowledge in the sense of the majority of those in real life knowing about it. If you can accept all that has been stated, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and be prepared to endure the rocky road of trying to conceive while trying to get out of the shadows of infertility.

Unsuspected...TMI warning

WARNING this contains TMI and makes me want to go between blushing admitting this and wanting to vomit.

WARNING: STOP reading right now if you do not want to be grossed out.

Bacterial Vaginosis - According to BabyCenter.com

What is bacterial vaginosis?

Bacterial vaginosis (commonly known as BV) is the most common vaginal infection in women of childbearing age. It's caused by an imbalance in the bacteria that live in your vagina. About 1 in 5 women have this infection at some point during pregnancy, though estimates vary widely.
Normally, "good" bacteria, called lactobacilli, are in the majority and keep other kinds of bacteria in check. You end up with BV when there are too few lactobacilli, allowing other bacteria to grow out of control. No one knows for sure what causes the balance of bacteria to change.
Guess who has it? ME. me. And guess what, I hadn't really the slightest clue. She kind of warned me during my pap smear. When she asked me if my creamy white discharge was bothering me. Honestly, I thought that it was normal. It went between lotiony, creamy, sticky, and there were times where it was clear. Normal cycle, right? Obviously not so much. Which means WHO knows how long I have had it? Or maybe I just got it. I couldn't tell you. And guess what else, about half of women do not know they have it...so I guess I am not alone on this either (via Web MD).

Which means, if I have had it a long time there is a chance of PID. I do NOT need another obstacle standing in my way. Either way it is...

Gross. I gross myself OUT. DISGUSTING! I cannot believe I am admitting this here. I am going to pick up my "vaginal antibiotic cream" this evening. I have to use it for 7 days.

Gross.

  1. I've had them before too without knowing. My doc was kind enough to let me know via pap.

  3. I've had it too, without knowing... found it in a pap exam as well... it is sooo common, and can even be caused by a type of soap or the type of underwear you use. Some women get it really often, just an unbalance in our bodies. Yuck, huh??

  4. Okay so now I don't feel so alone in my luckiness (lol). Still feel nasty. To top it off I went to pick up my script and it wasn't in yet. So I have to go to town AGAIN!
